If you like Electro (or speed garage/2-Step, Dubstep, drum & bass, fidget, or breaks…. all of which she mixes masterfully and produces) you should drop by and check it out. Bring dancing shoes. Seriously. You WILL need them.

Between all of her world touring and co-running Breakdown, BEEP! and Play Me records out of LA its pretty sweet that she is going to grace Aural Pleasure’s new location at FELT in Boston.

These events have just outgrown Salisbury Beach by being TOO prolific (and seriously, how often does THAT happen?!?!?) so they are coming to the Hub (for those non-locals, thats Boston, aka BeanTown, etc) every Thursday. EDMPodcast will be at most of these events recording because… well… they are just THAT impressive. Also a quick shout over to www.freshmixes.com who hosts the pics of these events… fine work over there by Papa Smurf with lots to check out on his site after the events.

If you havent been to FELT you’re missing out on a serious Boston hotspot… FELT check it out…

I’ll have the rest of the Aural Pleasure Soulstice up shortly, but I wanted everyone to know that Soulstice is in the process of being moved; although it was one cool venue, the owner of said place is just… well… in typical club owner form… shady.
Plus with the huge and growing audience it just seemed prudent that the next step be closer to Boston before the summer ends and venues shut down suddenly and unexpectedly. In my mind, it will be a good move despite my love of having an outdoor deck. But these guys just are going to outgrow the space with this kind of talent. EDMPodcast will be following their future shows, so MORE mixes to come. Later this week: Part 2 of Charles Feelgood!

All I can say is that Charles Feelgood was… as Ian put it… ridiculous. Absolutely… ridiculous. This was one sick show and I’m happy to say that it is all caught on tape for EDMPodcast.

Also in the works… some slick goodies acquired from contacts at the ORB festival, an amazing psytrance gathering, the first of which is a pretty ill little trip-hop mix sure to change the pace a little and open the mind.

As for Salisbury Beach… if you weren’t there, I dont know what the hell you were doing because EVERYONE was up on that dancefloor last night and absolutely going wild. I can not ever remember the caliber of dancing, and random acts of break-dancing were happening all over the place. I still cant make sense of how those guys and gals can move like that, but it is seriously something to see.

Anyhow, I’ll get the mixes up ASAP!

Since everyone is at Ultra and nobody will be spending time anywhere near a computer… I’m taking this week to give everyone a rest (and spend it listening to the LIVE FEED from the Carl Cox tent!)
